Love yourself more – Model Tips
Every one of us has their own questions, uncertainties and personal issues.
Nevertheless, this does not mean that we cannot try to become more self-reliant, steady and independent. The basis for this is to start loving yourself. Once we have managed to accept who we really are including all our weaknesses, we are able to understand that it does not make sense to compare ourselves to others.
Every one of us is an individual and has different strengths and skills. We should celebrate our talents and find out how we can benefit from it, not only for ourselves but also for other peoples’ sake. Every one of us has their own individual gift that should be shared with the world. What is yours? In case you do not know your personal talents yet, that does not mean you do not have any. Rather you may not have allowed yourself to notice them so far. First start loving yourself, and then love the people around you. After that your talents will uncover themselves to you as soon as you are ready.
I am the first one to admit that I am not perfect. No one is. But I have managed to accept and love myself including all my weaknesses.
Women tend to think if I only lose weight, or had curvier hips, or better skin, or if I was smaller, or had longer hair, etc. … then I would be able to love myself and find happiness. Men also tend to think, if I only had more muscles, or had more hair, or would be more tanned, or was taller, or had more money, etc. … then I would be able to love myself and find happiness. But in fact, if we are not able to be happy NOW, with the circumstances we are faced with, we will not be able to feel happy LATER on, once we have managed to get what we think we needed to find happiness.
The mistake is that we search outside of ourselves for reasons to be happy.
But the truth is we need to find happiness in the inside of ourselves. If your happiness depends on materialistic things it is perishable. The idea behind it goes like this: If I only had more money, I would find happiness. Then you have more money, but still you are neither happy nor satisfied. Now you believe you would need to have a bigger place to live in, then you could find happiness. Then you get to a bigger place to live in, but still you are not happy. There seems to be something missing. Then you start to think you should lose weight to feel happy. You get slimmer, but you still feel empty inside. Then you start to wonder. Why am I still not feeling happy? Although I got all the things I wanted!
Honestly, the problem is that you do not love yourself. This is the reason why you cannot find happiness. No matter how much things you own, if you are not able to feel happy without all this stuff, you will never be able to find happiness.
If you like the idea of finding yourself sitting in an empty room, only yourself and your thoughts, and you still feel comfortable, then you are probably very close to the state of happiness or even have found it already.
People tend to put a higher worth on materialistic things because we can more easily evaluate them. Nevertheless, that does not mean that they are more important. Do not get me wrong here. Physical things are not necessarily bad and of course can be enjoyable, but there is more to it than only things.
It is important to understand that what people think of us should not affect our self-worth.
Plus we should always be grateful for what makes us individual and unique from others.
